Christmas: Duck with presents

Duck and presents

I have to take a break from my Copic markers every now and again — just for a bit of variety — and I do enjoy playing with the Zig real brush markers, even if I do need way more practise with them. When I pulled the digi print from the stack I’d prepared for the colouring challenge, I looked at it and saw a duck, which is why it’s very yellow. It was only when I started writing up the supplies list that I realised that it was supposed to be a penguin… oh well…

Thinking of you: Rainbow lacy flowers

Rainbow lacy flowers

This was created on 14th July: day 10 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.

It’s hard to resist the opportunity to colour a rainbow and this lacy flower stamp just cried out for layers of colour. This was also a bit of an experiment to see how well colouring would work on the pearlised card — answer: surprisingly well, I did not expect the effect to be as nice as it is.

Hello: Orange and grey

grey and orange

Once again, I’m cutting it fine creating a challenge entry in time… where does the month go? Happy mail: Snails

Happy mail snails

Create A Smile have just launched their monthly challenge and, being a lover of their stamps (and stencils and embellishments and kits and…), I just had to join in. The theme this month is “favourite” so for this card I went with my favourite colouring medium: Copic markers (though I do love the cute snails and the sweetheart envelopes as well).

Birthday: Butterflies and flowers

embossed butterflies

Another catch-up post; this card was originally made on February 1st on the first day of the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge. I couldn’t share it then though, as the person it was made for also follows me on Instagram, so I restricted myself to posting the circle that was die cut from the panel 🙂

Birthday card: Balloon with repeat stamping

Balloon with repeat stamping background

What:

My first birthday card of the year and it has to be for a man. As if the mojo-killing New Year’s malaise wan’t enough, I can’t even just sit down and colour some pretty flowers or cute animals. No, I have to come up with a more masculine design. A quick browse through Pinterest and I had a starting point. Then I grabbed a few “could be useful” dies and stamps and I was soon on my way to actually having an idea for a design.
