Birthday: Butterflies and flowers

Another catch-up post; this card was originally made on February 1st on the first day of the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge. I couldn’t share it then though, as the person it was made for also follows me on Instagram, so I restricted myself to posting the circle that was die cut from the panel 🙂

How:

The flowers on the main panel were stamped in Versamark, heat embossed with silver pearl and coloured with Zig Clean Colour real Brush markers (seriously, it should not be possible to sum up the amount of work that went into creating that panel in that short a sentence). The butterflies were heat embossed in silver, to give a bit of contrast to the flowers, and die cut out. The leaves were stamped with pigment inks and fussy cut out.

I die cut a circle from the flower panel and a smaller one from the card base. On the inside of the card I did a bit of green ink blending for the smaller butterfly to sit on in the centre of the circle.

Assemble was fairly straightforward. The flower panel was popped up on the card base with one set of the leaves tucked in between the two layers over the open circle. The large butterfly was layered onto a piece of sparkly black paper and mounted on top of the flower panel on the edge of the circle and the other leaves were added in the corner. The small butterfly and a few sequins were glued to the inside of the card in the centre of the die-cut circle.
