Why do I always leave making cards for challenges until the end of the month? It’s not making the cards that’s the problem, it’s not even getting the photographs done — I’ve got that workflow sorted — it’s writing up the blog post to go with them. Actually, it’s more the “thinking about writing the blog post” that slows me down. I don’t know why, but it’s just one of those things that I procrastinate horribly about, even though it doesn’t actually take long to do when I finally put fingers to keyboard.
One of our neighbours asked if I could make her a handful of birthday cards as she had a bunch of birthdays coming up. Typical of such requests, there wasn’t a lot (well, any) more detail, so I had to wing it a bit.
Another catch-up post; this card was originally made on March 21st, although the monsters were coloured at the start of February during the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.
When I picked out the monsters stamp to colour, I knew that it would end up on a birthday card for my younger nephew. Designing cards for adult men is hard enough, but it’s doubly so for almost teenage boys…
A birthday card for my nephew.
