This was created on 14th July: day 10 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.
It’s hard to resist the opportunity to colour a rainbow and this lacy flower stamp just cried out for layers of colour. This was also a bit of an experiment to see how well colouring would work on the pearlised card — answer: surprisingly well, I did not expect the effect to be as nice as it is.
How:
I stamped the flowers and sentiment in Versafine, which is suitable for using with a water-based medium like the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then I selected a rainbow of markers and simply flat-coloured the flowers, no blending at all. The background was coloured in a pale blue.
I trimmed the panel down to size, adhered it flat to a card base and bordered it with thin glitter strips. Clear droplets in the centre of the flowers and a scattering of sequins finished off the card.
