I picked up a set of the Tim Holtz mixed media dies out of curiosity more than anything else. Rather than giving you a positive shape to work with, these dies are designed to leave you with the negative, empty space on a panel, and I wondered what I could do with that.

I was in the mood for two things: using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers — hereafter known as ziggies for the sake of brevity — and doing a bit of heat embossing. After a couple of busy days creating the mouse at the lake card, I had thought that I would keep that day’s colouring for the Daily Marker challenge simple; that plan didn’t last long.

The last of my catch-up blog posts! Assuming that I haven’t made more cards than I’ve blogged between scheduling this post and it being published, I am completely caught up.

Ahem. This is the last of my catchup blog posts that I had intended completing before I started the 30-day colouring challenge in September. I had been keeping this card for when I was completely caught up as my expression would match his if I ever actually managed to do that 🙂 But if I wait until there are no more cards that need to be blogged then I will never ever post this.

Before I started the 30-day colouring challenge, I was >this< close to having got completely caught up with blogging my card backlog. I very deliberately stuck to colouring during the challenge so that I wouldn’t end it with a stack of thirty cards that needed to be photographed and written up. I even blogged a couple of the cards I made for other challenges.
