In this workshop I got to use my bead and sequin stash for something more than just embellishing handmade cards. This time they take centre stage.

Bunny with daffodils, take #2
This card is proof that I can make a card quickly when I need to. It also reminded me that the slower process is ultimately more fun and more rewarding.
Bunny with daffodils
Easter means cute bunnies and flowers and a good excuse to get out my Copic markers for the first time in ages.
Layered daisy
Running short on time and inspiration, I turned to my Cricut Maker to create some flowers for the second of this year's Mother's Day cards.
Translucent flowers
A vague idea, a very old piece of stash, some unused supplies and a touch of bling. That's what this birthday card was made of.
Tiny embroidered bouquet
I'm slowly starting to do more work with textiles in one form or another. This piece of hand embroidery is another step along the way to figuring out exactly what it is I want to create.
Collage paper flowers
Another project built on leftovers; this time I used previously coloured tissue to create new collage paper and then turned that into flowers for a family birthday card.
Bountiful bouquet
Yes it's another Power Poppy floral card — rudbeckias and berries this time — but at least I changed up the usual pink and purple Copic palette for a more autumnal one, and then finished it off with coloured pencils.
80th roses and violets
This card was an exercise in finding balance between "it's a big birthday, let's shout it from the rooftops" and my own "age is a meaningless number" aversion to drawing attention to it. I'm happy with the compromise...
Messy May “belonging”
This Messy May challenge gave further confirmation that I am much more inspired by technique prompts than word prompts. And I got to use some of my precious dried flowers and Japanese paper in the process.
Easter tulips
I may have run out of bunny digi stamps, but I still have plenty of Power Poppy ones waiting to be coloured. I chose these tulips to make an Easter card for my mum and my aim was to use some softer, more pastel, colours and not immediately reach for the super-saturated vivid reds and… Continue reading Easter tulips
More Magnolia Sunshine
This is the second version of the Mother's Day card I made, and I have to say, this is my favourite of the two. I like the way it fills the card front. I've often had problems coming up with a layout I like when trying to fit a complete flower arrangement on a card:… Continue reading More Magnolia Sunshine
Mother’s Day Magnolia Sunshine
Well, I hadn't planned on taking a two-month break from blogging. And I had, vaguely, planned on catching up with writing up the things I hadn't blogged so I would have some scheduled posts as a buffer when I did start posting again. But here I am, on the 1st of June, typing away about… Continue reading Mother’s Day Magnolia Sunshine
Azalea birthday
For a change, I actually felt like sitting down and doing some colouring for a card. I had a look through the last lot of Power Poppy digis I bought and narrowed it down to a choice of two: azaleas or magnolia. The azaleas gave me more colour options so they won out this time.… Continue reading Azalea birthday
Just coloured: wildflowers
thistle It would be foolhardy to claim that I will ever complete all of the many art and craft classes I've signed up for over the last few years, but I am determined to finish at least some of them. I've done five of Sandy Allnock's classes and am part way through another couple —… Continue reading Just coloured: wildflowers
