I may have run out of bunny digi stamps, but I still have some Power Poppy stamps that I haven’t used yet!
As a change from the pinks and purples I tend to use for floral cards, I made a conscious decision to create this one with a more autumnal palette, which suited these rudbeckias nicely.
I had plenty of time before this needed to be in the post so I took the opportunity to add some enhancements with coloured pencils. Rather than try to match the colours to create deeper shadows and brighter highlights, I took a leaf from Amy Shulke‘s book and used some of my Derwent Lightfast pencils: I’d got a few in a ScrawlrBox subscription box and added a couple more from Amy’s recommended mini set. The result has a more natural feel to it that I really like (though I still need to work on creating more realistic shading on leaves).
