Cute Spidey

Spidey

This little spidey is just sooooo cute! I didn’t have a plan for him when I coloured him, but I quickly realised that he would be perfect as the centrepiece of a birthday card for a friend of ours.

How:

I printed spidey out, coloured him with Copic markers and fussy cut him out. I added a layer of glossy accents to the eyes for a bit of shine and dimension.

For the background I did some Distress ink blending and created a night sky panel with a yellow glow to go around the die-cut cityscape that I glued flat over it.

I am loving using the Strathmore Bristol for ink blending — the ink doesn’t seem to soak into the paper as quickly as with Neenah solar white so you have more time, and more available ink, to get the blending perfect.

I mounted the background panel flat to the card base, lining it up at the top fold, stamped the sentiment below it and popped spidey up on foam tape over the top.
