Hello card: Autumn leaves with foxes

fox and leaves

What:

Day 2 of the third 30-day colouring challenge and I created a variant of yesterday’s background and added some sweet foxes.

How:

I stamped a random collection of leaves in archival black ink. I then wet just the leaves with clear water, sprinkled over some Brusho powder and moved the colour around with a brush. Once the leaves were dry I mixed some turquoise Brush with water and carefully painted in the background.

The foxes and hearts were coloured with Copics and fussy cut out. Glossy accents was added to the hearts and the foxes’ noses.

The hello was die cut three times, glued together and given a bit of sparkle with a layer of Wink of Stella covered with glossy accents.

I trimmed the panel and wrapped a narrower strip of vellum vertically around it. Then I glued it flat to the card base. The foxes were popped up using foam tape and the hearts and hello were added around them.

Lessons Learned:

More a case of a “lesson yet to be learned”: I must keep my fingers away from glossy accents until it is absolutely one hundred percent dry. Even if it looks dry it may still be soft enough to pick up fingerprints.
