Birthday card: Create a Smile

Create A Smile birthday card

What:

A card made to celebrate Create A Smile’s first birthday.

How:

A lot of fussy cutting and arranging of masks to finalise the layout of the flowers, followed by much stamping and masking on watercolour paper. The flowers and cup were coloured with Inktense pencils blended with Wink of Stella. I went over the flower outlines with fineliner to intensify them a little.

After much faffing about I finally decided to fussy cut it out and mount it over a strip of patterned paper on a gradient coloured card base. The sentiment was stamped and a few sequins added, and the bottom corners were rounded for a finishing touch.

Lessons Learned:

Wink of Stella makes a really nice shiny blending medium.
