What:
Two simple Christmas cards inspired by some shiny wrapping tissue I picked up.
How:
My starting point was wondering how well the shiny “tissue” would work for snowflakes, so I die cut several of them after first backing the tissue with Stick it. I also die cut one from a circle, leaving the negative space.
I cut and scored two tent-fold card bases from red card.
For the bauble card, I cut a piece of black card and drew the bauble cap and string on it with a Versamarker and heat embossed it in silver. After sticking the bauble in place I decided it needed something more and lightly stencilled some snow over the background. I mounted the finished panel at the top of the card base.
For the other card I die cut a small stitched square and played around with the positioning of it and some snowflake pieces. Once I had a simple layout I was happy with I stuck them in place.
I finished the two cards by stamping the sentiment with Versamark ink and heat embossing it in white.
