Xmas card: Ribbon tree

Ribbon tree

What:

I like ribbon, but I’m not a great fan of bows on cards, or at least not the times I’ve tried it. So I needed to find other ways to use the ribbon in my stash.

How:

Using some green card that matched the ribbon I was planning on using, I cut and scored a card base. The panel was cut from pearlised card.

I die-cut the tree shape in the panel, stamped the tree trunk in black ink, and embossed the sentiment with some sparkle.

After marking where the window would go over the card base I cut some strips of ribbon and taped them in place. The panel was mounted using foam tape.

The final touch was to add the metal star charm on top of the tree.
