Series: Collage exploration #8
This is the other colour blocks collage; the one that I started work on before changing tack and making the ratty one. The background on this one is created jigsaw-style, but the main elements are just layered on top. It didn’t feel in keeping with the examples in the book, but I had found all the pieces and wanted to assemble it anyway.
The sign is from one of my photographs and the pigeon is from a photo by Lenstravelier on Unsplash. Together with the expanse of flat mown grass and the trees around the edge, the sign and pigeon epitomise a lot of English recreation grounds…
