Back at the end of May this year I saw an announcement for a new creative community targeted at arty, creative types who blog. And I must have had my brave trousers on that day because I filled in the form and applied to join.
I know that doesn’t sound like a particularly brave thing to do, but when you are an introspective introvert with underlying anxiety and a history of going silent on social media at random times… well… committing to a community where one of the requirements is involvement is a challenge. (Not to mention the impostor syndrome triggered by being surrounded by people who do this for a living…)
What is also a challenge is the GESSO: Primed Creatives blogging challenge which starts today and runs until the end of August next year. I am aiming for the Silver Award (52 themed posts) because anything more simply would not happen — I applaud anyone who even attempts the Diamond level… My intention is to post those on the weekend and keep the usual project posts running during the week, but we’ll see how it works out in practice.
