Xmas card: Santa and snowflakes

Santa and snowflake card

What:

My Create A Smile snow dance kit finally arrived! I can only assume the postman was jealous and wanted to hold onto it for an extra few days before delivering it.

How:

This card looks like there’s a lot going on, but it actually came together quite quickly; for once I had an idea of what I wanted it to end up looking like before I started…

First I used the kit stencil to cover a piece of pearlised card with Distress ink blue snowflakes, then I die cut the gorgeous snowflake from it, and finally trimmed it to size.

I stamped the Santa, coloured him with Copic markers and added a touch of clear Wink of Stella to the trim on his outfit. His eyes and mouth were emphasised with a black fineliner.

Some more Wink of Stella went onto the card base where the die cut snowflake would be and I glued the snowflake panel to the card base, adding the centre piece of the die cut in the middle.

I added strips of silver tape above and below the panel on the black card base and popped the Santa up with some foam tape.
