What:
Day eighteen of The Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge. I started off with the intention of doing a simple panel with the flower, a couple of leaves and a sentiment.
How:
I got out the Gelatos that have been sitting on the shelf unused and, well, these are going to take some practise… even mixed with water first, they seem to dry incredibly quickly, leaving no real chance to blend colours. Maybe it would have worked better if I had done each petal individually, but I was looking for a less time-consuming option.
Anyway, I wasn’t happy with the look of the finished flower on a white background — and trying to put a pale blue wash around the flower did not work — so I fussy cut the leaves and flower out and mounted them on some pretty pearlised blue card.
I ended up with a nice simple card. Eventually.
Supplies:
- stamps:
Create A Smile – botanical love - colour:
Gelatos – red cherry, metallic melon, cold champagne, green tea
Judikins – embossing powder – detail gold
Hero Arts – embossing powder – white - paper and card:
Craftwork Cards – pearlised card – kings blue
