MST3K: The Creature from the Black Lagoon

CR00413 square

It’s my other half’s birthday today, so of course I had to create something special and geeky for him. I returned to a common theme: Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Specifically, this time, the new ones where Gypsy appears as a silhouette on-screen and Tom Servo flies around occasionally rather than being stuck in the seats. Birthday card: MST3K 50th

Happy 50th birthday

What:

Made for my other half’s 50th birthday. It took a while before I struck on the MST3K theme — obvious in hindsight — and set about making the elements. I downloaded a cinema seats silhouette, printed it and fussy cut it out. The flying saucers were stamped, coloured and fussy cut; one was suspended on an acetate strip in a window in the card. The saucer beams were cut from acetate and coloured with a Copic marker.
