I really need to get out of the habit of coming up with ideas for cards only a few days before they're needed. Luckily I worked out how to create the cut file design, assembled the finished Tom Servo card, and beat the deadline this time.

Twist-and-pop bots
All the time I was making the art cards for the Daily Marker colouring challenge, there was a nagging voice in the back of my head reminding me that it would be my other half's birthday only two days after the challenge ended and I really ought to be spending a bit of time making… Continue reading Twist-and-pop bots
Cake n’ Shake
Almost the middle of July (how?), so that means it's time to get the thinking cap on and come up with an idea for a birthday card for my other half. MST3K: The Creature from the Black Lagoon
It’s my other half’s birthday today, so of course I had to create something special and geeky for him. I returned to a common theme: Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Interocitor

Christmas card: MST3K bots

He’s a big Mystery Science Theatre 3000 fan so I went in search of Christmas inspiration there. Wassail!!! How: Of course, there are no MST3K stamps or digis out there so I had… Continue reading Christmas card: MST3K bots
Birthday card: MST3K 50th
What: Made for my other half's 50th birthday. It took a while before I struck on the MST3K theme — obvious in hindsight — and set about making the elements. I downloaded a cinema seats silhouette, printed it and fussy cut it out. The flying saucers were stamped, coloured and fussy cut; one was suspended on… Continue reading Birthday card: MST3K 50th
