I haven’t made very many cards at all this year, just ones for close family — the ones I can’t avoid doing 🙂 And it’s not that I haven’t been feeling creative, I’ve done plenty of mixed media and a bit of relaxing colouring. And I can’t even use the excuse of having too many in my stash (I do, but they’re mostly ones I’ve made for fun or to try something out and not necessarily ones that are appropriate for the people I regularly send cards to). I just haven’t felt like making cards.
But there are some people, in this case my other half’s mum, who have to get a card. I wasn’t feeling very inspired but luckily I have a supply of Power Poppy digi stamps that I haven’t used yet and so I coloured up this bowl of beauty. I added a large heat-embossed sentiment over the top and layered it onto a card base with a piece of patterned paper.
