cards

Peony bouquet

I haven’t made very many cards at all this year, just ones for close family ā€” the ones I can’t avoid doing šŸ™‚ And it’s not that I haven’t been feeling creative, I’ve done plenty of mixed media and a bit of relaxing colouring. And I can’t even use the excuse of having too many in my stash (I do, but they’re mostly ones I’ve made for fun or to try something out and not necessarily ones that are appropriate for the people I regularly send cards to). I just haven’t felt like making cards.

But there are some people, in this case my other half’s mum, who have to get a card. I wasn’t feeling very inspired but luckily I have a supply of Power Poppy digi stamps that I haven’t used yet and so I coloured up this bowl of beauty. I added a large heat-embossed sentiment over the top and layered it onto a card base with a piece of patterned paper.

Copic markers:

tree peony petals – B23, R59, R46, R27
tree peony centre – BV31, Y38, Y15, Y02
tree peony leaves – G29, G46, YG93
hellebore petals – YG95, RV66, RV29, RV34
hellebore centre – YG00, YG23
hellebore leaves – R14, YG97, YG95, YG93
bluebell petals – R02, BV04, BV02
bluebell centre – Y02
bluebell stems – YG25, TG21
ferns – R85, YG67, YG25, YG63
central gaps – BG72

  1. Such a pretty card. I know what you mean when you say you haven’t felt like making cards. I’ve had the same feelings. I need to get out of this funk! I haven’t been crafting much at all lately….Thanks for sharing!
