Series: The Daily Marker Art Card #16
I try not to rely too much on the same Copic marker combinations. Mostly I’m quite successful, I generally try to refer to my hex chart for choosing colours afresh each time. And quite often if I use someone else’s combination it never looks the same; everyone colours differently…
The one thing I do end up using the same couple of combinations for over and again is skin. I have a go-to couple of slightly different pale caucasian combos and that’s it really. I have tried some others occasionally, usually working from Sandy Allnock’s human rainbow (free download), with varying degrees of success, but I am very aware that a bit more variety would be good.
The combo for this one is a variation of one of Sandy’s. I tried hers but my version came out a bit ill-looking with the olive tone overwhelming the warmth of the other colours so I swapped that marker out and I’m much happier with the end result.

Thank you! I’m so glad I found the rub-ons in my stash, they make such a difference to the finished piece.
