Series: The Daily Marker Art Card #01
Another 30 Day Daily Marker Colouring Challenge started in the middle of June and, to be honest, there was a brief moment when I thought I might give it a miss this time around; the last one was in February, but it really doesn’t feel like it was that long ago. Also, I’m not making that many cards right now — I got annoyed and removed some people who didn’t actually appreciate the work that goes into my cards from my list — and I still have quite a stash to use up, both completed cards and coloured images.
I do love colouring, especially with my Copic markers, but I didn’t want to feel I was just adding to the pile of stuff that won’t get used anytime soon.
And then I had an idea. I have a ton of digis that I’ve printed out for previous challenges and never got around to using; I always say that I will use them up and not print any more but that never actually happens. Until now. I decided to make ATC-sized art cards. And I would make them by colouring ATC-sized areas of the printed digis. And to make sure I stick to the plan, I even chose thirty digis from the stack and marked out the section to be coloured on all of them; all I have to do each day is pick the next one off the pile.
I’m not sure what I will do with the finished art cards, but at least it will be a pile of completed items and not just more stuff that needs using somehow. I may even simply pop some of them up on card bases to make quick cards.
I’m also using it as an opportunity to use a few of the word stickers and other embellishments that I have accumulated. Though it takes me a ridiculously long time to choose the appropriate words – hence the ones on this first art card 🙂

So cute! Do you have a children’s hospital close by? Some of those children would love a hand made card! What a great way to use some of those stashes! Just a thought! Or a home for the elderly! They would also greatly appreciate a handmade card! Thanks for sharing such a cute card….once again I’m missing the 30 day challenge…just so many things going on in my life right now. I don’t even have a spare minute.
