Wanderlust: spoon doll

The fourth week of the “Faces” theme and the last of this theme’s guest instructors: Anneliese Bates.

I have to be honest, I’m really not that keen on this project. I was never much of a fan of dolls even as a child and this falls into that slightly creepy category. Technically the face is fine: it’s a tiny bit out of proportion with the spoon, but otherwise I’m happy with how I painted it. It’s as realistic as Anneliese’s instructions called for, though that might be the problem… if I’d done a more cartoon version of a face, I suspect I would have been happier with the end result.
