This was only the second wedding card I’ve made. The first card was all flowers, embossing and ribbons, and I wanted to create a cleaner, more graphic feel for this one.
I’d seen tuxedo and wedding dress hearts around and knew I wanted to create versions of those with the addition of some ribbon and the heart charms, which have been lurking in my stash for ages. What I didn’t have in mind was a layout for these elements.
Given how straightforward the final layout is, you would not believe how long it took me to get to it. I went through so many variations: square cards, heart-shaped cards, portrait, landscape, more ribbons, sentiment etc etc etc
Eventually I came up with a layout I liked, and the recipient loved it too.
Supplies:
- dies:
Little B – hearts - embossing folder:
Nellie Snellen – little dots - embellishments:
red ribbon
heart charms
Anita’s – gemstone wheel – multi-coloured pearl – white - paper and card:

Another catch-up post. This card was created on 9th August 2016.

Thank you! It’s one of those designs that would be quite easy to recreate, but took an absolute age to come up with in the first place.

This is very elegant and classy, but fun at the same time. Could be adapted for a prom perhaps too.
