This experiment was inspired by seeing someone create a heart shape out of Nuvo drops. Of course, it being an experiment I had to make it a bit more complex than that and then figure out how to use it on a card.
I was on the fence about getting the Nuvo jewel drops; I liked the idea of them but there are just so many new products and much as I might like to, I cannot buy them all and, even if I could, I wouldn’t have time to use them. My NBUS pile is big enough as it is! Ultimately I’m blaming PaperPuff for my purchase because seeing the three shiny drops on her tulip card was what convinced me I needed them.
I used a rose window stencil as guide for laying out little jewel drops in nearly all the currently available colours. Once they were dry, which doesn’t take long when they’re this small, I blended some Distress ink over the top.
I cut around the edge of the circle but wasn’t sure what to do with it next. The original rose window design was a little lost by now so I cut along the dividing lines and did a terrible job of rounding the corners; seriously, I should have grabbed my WRMK corner rounder, but I didn’t…
I also picked up some Terial Magic and some fabric squares a little while ago and had a very quick play making dimensional flowers. I used one of those as the centrepiece and glued it all to a card base.

Oh this is so pretty with all those different color Nuvo drops! I love this! I, too, love the Nuvo drops! I think I use them on almost every card I make now. 🙂

Sorry for the late comment but I have been away. I am happy to take the blame because it was all to the good!! A very creative way to use the Nuvo Drops and I love the finished card.
