Another catch-up post; this card was originally made on February 25th as part of the Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.
I love Some Odd Girl stamp designs, and this pixie is so cute she deserved to star on a nice simple background.
How:
The pixie was coloured with Copic markers and then fussy cut out leaving a white border around her. A touch of Wink of Stella was added to her eyes and wings.
The background was created using a partial second-generation stamping technique. I positioned the card for my background panel in my MISTI with a simple thin paper mask over it, exposing just the spotlight circle. I then mounted a woodgrain background stamp, inked it up with pigment ink, and stamped firmly. Then I removed the mask and, without re-inking, stamped again, leaving a lighter continuation of the woodgrain across the panel.
Once that was dry, I trimmed it to size and glued it flat to the card base. The pixie was popped up on some fun foam and a few sprinkles were added to finish it off.
