What:
Day twenty of the second Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge. A graduation card for when my brother gets his results from Uni in a couple of weeks.
How:
I printed out the owl and coloured him with Copic markers with the help of Sandy Allnock’s hex chart for choosing colour blends. I was even brave and followed her advice about increasing contrast in an image by going one darker for the shadows and I’m really pleased with how it worked.
I pondered various options for using the owl on a card, but ended up deciding to keep it simple and just die cut it out and create a banner to go with it.
I mounted the banner using foam tape, but for the owl panel I cut a circle of fun foam as that is neater and more supportive than small bits of tape and will hopefully survive being sent through the mail better.
