What:
Day three of the second Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge and another previously unused stamp set has been inked up.
Inspired by:
The basic idea came from Kristina Werner’s “Simple Masked Stamping” blog post.
How:
After deciding on the layout, I masked off the top part of the card, stamped the gems on the bottom half and coloured them with Copic markers. Then I used a mini ink blending tool to lay down an edge of colour along the line dividing the top and bottom of the panel. Over to the Big Shot and I cut the heart out from pearlised paper and ran the cross-stitched heart through on the panel. I stamped the sentiment and mounted the heart on foam pads. I tried arranging a few sequins but I wasn’t happy with how it looked, so I switched to the random method of simply dropping the sequins onto the card and sticking them more or less where they landed.
Lessons Learned:
Apparently Wink of Stella can pick up Copic colour.
