Quick play: Swedish stars

This was another of those ideas that arrived in the Pinterest email. The stars looked really pretty and I was curious how they were made. As it turns out, it’s a lot simpler than it first looks: each star is made in two parts that are then fixed together.

This blog post has good instructions for making your own.

Do note though, that these instructions are a good test of whether you place more emphasis on the pictures or the written word: the write-up says “four fat strips, and eight skinny strips”, the picture shows eight fat strips and four skinny strips. The picture is correct. I had to go cut extra strips…

It was a fun way to use up a few sheets of the ridiculous amount of patterned paper I have and only needed a bit of glitter to add some sparkle.
