Series: The Daily Marker Art Card #15
I’d say that I deliberately set out to create a more muted, almost vintage, feel for this art card, but that’s just how it turned out. Other than choosing the purple as the colour for the biggest flower, I really had no plan at all and just picked the next colour as I needed it. My automatic thought was to do the background in “standard” blue, but then I stopped and reconsidered and ended up with the dark brown, which gives a completely different feel to the finished image.

Thank you! It was a good reminder to me that it’s really worth trying something different every now and again – now I know that dark brown works nicely as a background colour for flowers…
