Series: The Daily Marker Art Card #02
I’ve said it before and I will say it again: Power Poppy digis are gorgeous and even the simplest colouring makes a beautiful image. There is so much detail which means that any cropped section is still full of prettiness. After colouring with Copics, I added texture to the orange flowers with coloured pencil and silver highlights on the snowdrops.
The background took a while to get right. I decided to experiment with using soft pastel and applying it with a paper stump, but it didn’t go on as smoothly as I had hoped: the Neenah card is great for Copic markers but it’s not the best surface for dry mediums. I persisted and ended up with an interesting effect.
Copic markers:
orange flowers – 0, Y23, Y17, YR16, YR07, W4
white flowers – 0, YG21, YG25, C1
