After posting the cards made from the Winter Wonderland class images, I realised that I had missed one. When I did the class, I made a second, portrait, version of the scene from the first lesson. I wasn’t completely happy with how the centre part of the horizon worked out so I had a hunt through my box of colouring to find something suitable for putting in the middle of my snowscape.
The monster fit the bill perfectly (and I still think it’s probably the best bit of red Copic colouring I’ve done). I fussy cut him out and popped him up using foam tape. It’s not very obvious on the photos because of the shadow, but I did colour two little “puddles” underneath his feet so that it looks like he is sinking into the snow.
I did think about putting a sentiment on, but couldn’t come up with anything that made the card look better so I decided against it in the end.
