The frenzy of Christmas card making, Christmas itself, and New Year always combine to leave me run-down and uninspired in January. Add in having a horrible cold over Christmas, the exceptionally cold grey miserable weather, and the horror show that is UK and US politics at the moment and it has been a nightmare trying to find the least bit of creative mojo.
But you have to start somewhere, so I got out my Copic markers and coloured up this odd little bird and his bee buddy, outlining the bird to make him stand out a bit more.
In the spirit of both trying something new and using never-used stash, I added some texture to the clouds and grass with some Flower Soft.
I also added some fine detail to the flowers and the bee with some Atyou Spica pens and, of course, those big eyes just called out for a layer of glossy accents.

Oh what a cute card! I love the “fluffy” clouds and “soft” grass. And, I agree on the politics! I can’t even stand to watch the news shows anymore. Yuck! I guess that leaves more time for crafting! LOL!
