Christmas: Wobble bunny

This card was created on 29th November; day 29 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.

One family member has a liking for bunnies so I have been keeping my eye out for one to put on a Christmas card for her. This from Stamping Bella caught my eye; it’s not sold as a Christmas critter, but with a red stripy hat and suitable surroundings, it can soon be made appropriately festive.

How:

I cut a rectangle of card the width of the card base and covered it with Stick It double-sided adhesive. Then I die-cut the word “joy” from it and covered the pieces with white and red glitter — with a little care, a couple of coffee filters for containing the glitter, and a handy wet wipe to clean your fingers, this microfine glitter doesn’t have to be messy!

The bunny was stamped, coloured with Copic markers and fussy cut out leaving a small border so it would stand out from the background. A little Wink of Stella on the hat gave a bit of added shine. I trimmed an action wobble down so that it would fit behind the bunny.

I cut a piece of patterned paper down to size and taped it to the card base. I layered the glittered “joy” panel over the top, inlaying the letters. Then I added two strips of washi tape; one across the top edge of the card and one below the glitter panel, which I then popped the sentiment banner over.

The last step was to position the wobbly bunny above the “joy”.
