The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge

Only a few days to go until The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge starts on July 5th — what on earth happened to June and is there any chance we might get a hint of summer in July?

This will be the fifth time the amazing Kathy Racoosin has hosted the challenge; how she manages to post something inspiring every day and still keep up with everyone’s contributions I do not know, I have enough trouble keeping on top of the tiny bit of social media I do!

If you haven’t come across it before, this is a relaxed challenge that runs for thirty days. The aim is to do a bit of colouring every day — any medium, and style, any subject — but there’s no penalty for skipping days and if you only have ten minutes spare then that’s fine too. The challenge is NOT to create thirty finished masterpieces in thirty days, it’s to take a bit of me-time and de-stress with your Copics or paint or pencils or brusho or crayons or Sharpies or whatever you have to hand that can add a bit of colour to your life.

This is the fifth challenge and the fifth time I will have joined in with it. Previously I have tried to blog the colouring I do, but I’m going to let myself off the hook this time around. Things are stressful enough at the moment without adding “must blog every day” to the pile… Everything I do will, of course, be posted over on Instagram and finished cards will eventually make their way on to the blog here. I’m going to try to do something every day, though there are a few days that could be tricky. I might even start on some Christmas cards if I can bring myself to contemplate the C-word in July 🙂

  1. Exactly! It’s about fun and relaxation and you time. If I get the chance to blog, that’s great, if not, that’s fine. Love it every time. Looking forward to joining you over on IG. XX
