What:
I love stencils, but I don’t get round to using them very often so I made a point of creating a card with a stencilled background. The clear-embossed top layer on the flowers doesn’t show up very well in the photo, but it looks lovely and shiny in real life. I ended up masking the flowers twice — after doing the stencilling on the background and revealing the flowers I just wasn’t happy with it so I masked them off again and added some Distress ink over the top.

Originally spotted on Instagram, this card using heat embossing for the top layer of layered flowers struck me as a really clever idea.
