This card is proof that I can make a card quickly when I need to. It also confirmed to me that, although I might complain about how long things take sometimes, I really do prefer the slower process.
Of course, it helps that I already had the idea for the card as that is usually the thing that takes the longest time. I chose to use the same digi stamp as I used on the only other Easter card I made this year, ideally it would have been a mouse rather than a rabbit for my mum but I really didn’t have time to go on a digi stamp hunt.
I didn’t want to make an exact duplicate though — I hate repeating myself — so I zoomed in on the digi a bit, made the bunny brown instead of grey, and die-cut the panel to size. Pretty much everything else was the same as the previous card: Copic colouring with a little bit of pencil to add detail, a heat-embossed sentiment on vellum, and a few sequins for sparkle.

Other than printing the digi stamp, which I had done at the same time as the other one, everything was done in under two hours, and that included photographing it for the blog and getting it written and in an envelope with a stamp ready for my other half to take out to the postbox on his lunchtime walk.
And honestly, I don’t ever want to make a card that way again. It allows no time for thought, for ideas to pop into your head and be acted upon. There’s an idea at the start and a product at the end and no room for creativity in the middle. In contrast, I recently finished a textile collage for the Stitch Club series and I spent literal days with the pieces in front of me, intermittently playing with the layout and trying out ideas as they occurred to me, until I was finally happy with it.
The biggest takeaway from this is that, if something has a deadline, I really need to start working on it much earlier than I usually do.

That card is adorable! I seem work best when “under pressure” to get something made by a deadline. I often have an idea in my head, but when I start to put things together I often end up doing something entirely different. I personally think this is one of your best. The coloring is awesome!
