I was going to stop with the Christmas card making after finishing off the critters and snowflakes — I have plenty of spares from previous years so there was no danger of running out — but this post from Teela over at Every Tuesday caught my eye and I decided that one more quick card-making session wouldn’t hurt.

I made two by masking the snowflakes first: for one I used the watercolour marker direct onto the card and blended it out with a wet brush (with varying degrees of success), for the other, I scribbled the markers on a palette and picked the colour up with a wet brush.

For the third one, I used the cling film technique and added silver snowflakes with a marker. I did try making one with a hand-lettered sentiment, but I still hate my handwriting and find doing “nice” lettering tricky left-handed, so that one got cut up for scraps 🙂
