I don’t think I’ve ever felt less Christmassy. Really not helped by catching this horrible cold that has been going around and then, just as I thought I might be on the mend after two weeks, getting a 24-hour stomach bug that wiped me out for another week and then, just as I’m starting to think I might be on the way to getting my energy back, catching a cold again, this time with a cough to go with it. Oh, and on top of it all, I now have acute conjunctivitis as well. I haven’t felt well in weeks and I really don’t care about Christmas this year; however, other people do and that means, at least, making some Christmas cards… Luckily I got a few done before falling ill, but others have had to be done on the better days… (Getting around to blogging them has been harder than making them, but I don’t want to be posting about Christmas cards in the New Year!)
This one was a one-off trial of Jennifer McGuire’s Embossed Impressions technique. One-off because the end result just wasn’t nice enough to justify the amount of faffing about it took to clean the stray embossing powder off the card. I might give it another go when I have more patience…
It might not have been perfect, but I could still turn it into a decent card with the application of a bit of colour, some glossy accents and a bit of gold splatter.

This is so cute. I am going to try this technique sometime. I hope you are feeling better soon! I haven’t felt like Christmas this year either. I can’t wait for this year to be over. It just hasn’t been a good year. I made a lot of Christmas cards, but making the time to blog about them just hasn’t happened. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
