Christmas: Small squares

square-card-gridNot exactly a batch of cards — at least not in the sense of having identical designs — but they were made at the same time and with the intention of focussing more on creating with embellishments than with stamping or colouring.

I’ve been meaning to make a card with buttons ever since I got a sweet button-adorned Christmas card from Ruth (Crafting While the Baby Naps), but this is the first time I have actually broken into my button stash…

My other half randomly presented me with a bag of metal cog embellishments, which were perfect for building a Christmas tree.

When I discovered this star-shaped button in my stash, there was only one thing I could do with it — it just had to go on the top of a tree.

Supplies:

  • stamps:
    Clearly Besotted – sentimental type
My Favorite Things – oh Christmas trees
  • inks:
    Delicata – silvery shimmer
    Avery Elle – jungle
    Versafine – onyx black
  • pens:
    Copic multiliner – 0.25
  • embellishments:
    miscellaneous buttons
    metal cogs
    glossy accents
    coloured metallic powder (for Fimo)
  • paper and card:
    Stampin Up – kraft

Another catch-up post; these cards were originally made on 7th December.
