I picked up a set of the Tim Holtz mixed media dies out of curiosity more than anything else. Rather than giving you a positive shape to work with, these dies are designed to leave you with the negative, empty space on a panel, and I wondered what I could do with that.

Christmas: I heart books


This card was created on 15th November; day 15 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge.

I love this stamp set by Sandy and I’m so glad I managed to finally get it to the top of my “to be coloured” stamp pile. At this time of year my mind is firmly fixated on making innumerable Christmas cards and this image lent itself perfectly to creating a chilled Christmas scene.

My first birthday card of the year and it has to be for a man. As if the mojo-killing New Year’s malaise wan’t enough, I can’t even just sit down and colour some pretty flowers or cute animals. No, I have to come up with a more masculine design. A quick browse through Pinterest and I had a starting point. Then I grabbed a few “could be useful” dies and stamps and I was soon on my way to actually having an idea for a design.
