I don’t make many Easter cards — just one for my mum and one for my other half’s sister because she loves bunnies. For my mum, I decided to go down the floral route.
And then you realise that there’s a really good reason why the other Mother’s Day card didn’t get posted to the blog. Although you wrote up a load of other cards and scheduled them, you didn’t actually get around to writing the post to go with this card. So, a couple of days late, here is the card I made for Mothering Sunday for my mum.
Rather than go for the traditional Christmas red, I chose to create a shiny blue-purple ribbon for these sprigs of holly and mistletoe.
I finally had to stop procrastinating and actually get around to making a card for my other half’s mum’s birthday.
Cake!!!!! I was tempted to colour rainbow layers but decided to make it into a massive chocolate cake instead.
I love Power Poppy flowers. And apparently I love colouring them in pink; first the two Mother’s Day cards and now this. I zoomed in close on this one so I could add in plenty of detail on those small flowers. Geraniums come in lots of colour variations and, as the digi stamp is so realistic, I thought I should base the colour scheme on a real one too.
