Candles and snowflakes

CR00455 square

This is a variation on a card I made last year. I learned my lesson and, this time, I checked whether mum wanted me to make a card for her to give to her brother before starting work on it.

She did want one and, as last year’s candle card ended up being repurposed, I thought I’d recreate it. Only I didn’t want to do a straight copy, so I kept the candles, snowflakes and sentiment strip and changed the layout around them.

The area below the sentiment strip ended up looking a bit bare, so I die-cut some vellum snowflakes and attached them with micro glue dots, which seemed to work quite well.

All in all, I think I prefer the original… it’s just a bit cleaner. But the pine needle edging on this one does give it a bit more of the requested traditional feel, so I think it fulfils the brief.
