Christmas: Yetis in a circle

cr00338-cr00339

These cards were made on 10th November; day 10 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge. The yetis were coloured earlier in the challenge.

I told you I love these yetis… and these are not the last you’ll see this month. I did try to do something a bit different with each pair though; this time I created a snowy landscape scene inside a circle frame as backgrounds for my two yetis – one coloured in Copic markers and one covered in white shimmer detail sparkle.

How:

Die-cutting. I die-cut the frames, I die-cut circles to go in the frames, and I die-cut the landscape border out of another die-cut circle. Then, using small sponge daubers, I added some colour to the sky and trees and then layered them inside the frame on the card base. The background was completed with some snow.

The sentiments were mounted on thin foam tape and the yetis were added on thicker foam tape; the sparkly one was given a small present to hold. The final touch was a sprinkling of sequins.
